How to Plan a Menu for Your Vacation

We understand some families that stay with Alpine Mountain Chalets may be staying in a cabin for the first time…so we want to help you be prepared for your stay!

Before you go for a vacations there are some things that should be taken into consideration to make the vacation enjoyable.  Planning the meals for your vacation is the first thing you should think of each time you start to plan your trip. If you skip the planning stage, you very well could return without the rest & relaxation you took the trip to get.  A simple plan of meals, supplies, & activities you want to do while in the mountains will go a long way for you and your family.

For you to make a good meal plan, you need to consider everything you keep at home including snacks, drinks, & supplies for family meals. Make sure you take with you enough food to cater to the needs of the entire family. Then, you can either buy these supplies at a grocery store near the cabin or pick them up when leaving your area for your trip.

Another consideration is what you will need while you are out doing the activities you have listed.  Keep in mind what kind of places you are going to visit and what the atmosphere of the activities will be like.  Will you be outdoors?  Indoors? Will you be spending a lot of energy?  For instance, if you are going to a mountain areas like Smoky Mountains National Park, you should carry easy foods like trail mix, water, fruits, & nuts.

While our cabins are conveniently located near all kinds of amenities, they do not have the vending machines most families are used to finding in the hallways of hotels.  Instead, we offer privacy & serenity that hotels simply can not match.  Hopefully this small guide helps you consider things to make your stay that much more memorable.

One last thing…don’t forget to ask about our concierge services…they can be waiting on you when you arrive at your cabin!

  3. Email a copy (we even made it REALLY easy by providing a form below…) of your review from one of the above sites above to confirmations (at) alpinemountainchalets.com.  The email must include your name, the subject line must read “REVIEW CREDIT”  Also, in the email, you will need to include you LAST NAME & your confirmation number from the stay for which you are writing the review.

That’s it! We will look over your review and issue your credit.  The credit will be good for one year after it has been issued.
